My latest creation!

If you follow me on Instagram (#Chubicorn), then this is old news to you, but if not, then here it is: my wife gave birth on April 1st! His name is Liam. He is a good boy, already curious about his surroundings.

In other good news, I am still finding time to slowly chip away at my comic zine (Valeria). I have now reached the inking stage. More soon!

Baby Chubicorn

I originally doodled this little guy on a receipt, and thought it would make a nice color pencil study.

About Shelby and the Blooms

Shelby is a naive little snail with a big heart and even bigger taste for adventure. She is the lead singer of the Blooms. Shelby has a tendency to go wild on stage, especially when she likes the energy of the crowd. Her band is made up of her closest friends:
-Brandon is a shy, laid-back butterfly who likes to skateboard and just hang out. He plays guitar in the band, and is a total hippie.
-Mindy is an orchid mantis who is as smart as she is pretty. She is also very gullible and plays bass in the band. Shelby is secretly a little jealous of Mindy.
-Marty is the fun-loving drummer of the band. He is a mole, and he's not very smart, but he makes up for it with his strong physique and good-natured attitude.
-DJ Rolly is a rolly polly (pillbug) who is very shy. He is a master on the turn tables and keyboard. He acts a bit grumpy and distant, but he secretly loves being a part of the Blooms.

-Chubicorn is a mysterious creature that follows the band (particularly Shelby) around. He is believed to be half unicorn and half water balloon, but no one is sure. It is unknown where he came from, but what is known is that he has a tendency to poop gold nuggets and vomit rainbows.
